"I was introduced to the game of golf by my Uncle Martin at a very early age, around 10 years old.".I would spend those early years playing golf with Uncle Martin at every opportunity. One of my earliest memories is my Uncle Martin and I seeing Ben Crenshaw playing and winning his first tournament as a Professional, at Woodlake Country Club in San Antonio, Texas. Little did I know that many years later I would become a Golf Professional in the Southern Texas Section of the PGA. During my 25 plus years in the golf industry, I’ve been a Head Golf Professional and later owner of my own Golf Teaching Center.

During my golf career I have given thousands of golf lessons, developed training aids, played in many professional golf tournaments, became a certified club fitter and was owner of a retail Golf Shop. I am currently the Head Golf Professional at the Flying L Guest Ranch Golf Course in Bandera, Texas.
We ask ourselves questions like, “What do I want to be? What should I do with my life? What are my goals, my ambitions, my dreams for my future?” But focusing on ourselves will never reveal our purpose in life. The BIBLE says
“It is God who directs the lives of his creatures; everyone’s life is in His power” (Job 12:10). I absolutely believe that these putter designs are part of God’s plan for my life. God has opened and closed many doors in the development of these putters. Life is about letting God use you for His purpose, not you using Him for your own purpose. Rick Warren writes that “the easiest way to discover the purpose of an invention is to ask the creator to explain it. You can find what God, your creator, has revealed about life in His Word, the Bible”.

The Bible is our Owner’s Manual, explaining why we are alive, how life works, what to avoid, and what to expect in the future. To discover your purpose in life you must turn to God’s Word. “It is in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, He had His eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose He is working out in everything and everyone” (Eph. 1:11-12).
You discover your purpose in life through a relationship with Jesus Christ. My purpose as a disciple of Jesus is to help others understand God and to have a relationship with His son Jesus Christ. That is why I developed the first two putters of the FISHPUTTER family. I am calling them PH 4:13 and DEUT 8. Open up your Bible and read Philippians 4:13 and Deuteronomy Chapter 8. Each putter in the FISHPUTTER series will have Christian symbolism and will be identified by a certain Bible verse. These putters are much more than golf products, they are meant to help Christian golfers open doors to His gospel and their ministries while sharing a golf game with friends and family. When we let God work through us to further His Kingdom, we should always be praying, listening, and looking for those divine appointments.
